Thanks for taking time to inquire about us. My name is Art Lawrence and I was raised right here in the city of Austin Texas, predominately my entire life. By the time I finished high school at Hyde Park Baptist High, I noticed that my ability to easily develop skills in architecture, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and landscaping were not just skills; they were talents. After being accepted into Texas Christian University, I decided to utilize all my talents by furthering my education at the elite level. My dad, a Master Electrician (E24), who taught me the electrical trade via on-the-job training for more than a decade, unfortunately passed away at age 52. This resulted in me transferring to a more local university, Texas State, in order to properly close down my dad’s electrical business. In conjunction with becoming established in real estate and constantly receiving calls from former and potentially new customers for electrical services, I decided to pursue business in the electrical industry once more. In my pursuit, I was looking for an “extremely seasoned,” professional electrical business and graciously I found Master Electrician Mike Short, owner of AC Electric. Mike, who is possibly the oldest electrician in the state of Texas, partnered with me because of my years of extensive hands-on electrical installation experiences along with my education and knowledge of the electrical business. Although this has resulted in me becoming more so of a proficient salesman in the electrical industry, Mike, his wife Debi, myself, and our electricians can now collectively provide innovative, electrical operations that are grounded in integrity and quality for you.
